Today I am blogging while on our "stay-cation". We're spending the 4th of July holiday week at Peter's parent's house in Tucson. And, as is usual for visits to grandparent's homes, the kids are popping up way early in the morning. So, we thought we would take the opportunity to go to the Tucson zoo before the heat of the day set in. It is much smaller than the Phoenix zoo that we are used to but it was a fun change with a few different animals.
It was a lovely morning in the high 80s but very humid. It seems that monsoon season is upon us here in the Arizona desert.
Brennan is such a great big brother always looking out for the littles.
While the little ones were splashing, Nathan had some quality time with his Nana Gentala.
I loved Reid Park zoo as a kid! And rainy season is the best...Although I had no idea what humidity was till I moved to the Gulf coast. Whew!!! I have to say that constant green and frequent rainy days make it worth it though.
ReplyDeleteI grew up on the Gulf Coast in Texas so I know exactly what you are talking about with the humidity. Somehow I have adjusted to the dry climate after living here for a decade and now monsoon season feels horrible...haha:)
